The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mancini swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Darren.
Mancini misses with a body shot.
Mancini misses with an uppercut.
Mancini with a jab.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Darren.
Mancini looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Mancini comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Mancini uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Darren.
Darren checks a low kick from Mancini.
A good leg kick by Darren.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Darren avoids the body shot from Mancini.
Mancini fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Darren manages to avoid it.
Mancini throws a lazy right hand but Darren sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Darren displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Mancini throws out the jab.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Darren lands a glancing blow to the side of Mancini's head.
Mancini throws a leg kick that misses.
Darren tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Mancini manages to circle out of the way.
Mancini on the wrong end of a nice hook.
It looks like Ray Mancini has been cut.
Darren connects with a nice looking jab.
Mancini is rocked!
Darren fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Mancini out cold! Brutal finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). James Darren!
A relieved looking James Darren thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
