The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reks will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Lakanik tries a head kick but it misses.
Reks misses with a two punch combination.
Reks avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Lakanik shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Reks throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Reks pushes off an fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Lakanik misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Reks.

Lakanik breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Lakanik tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Lakanik shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Reks as he avoids it easily.
Reks shoots for a double leg takedown but Lakanik sprawls well. He's pushed Reks's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Lakanik tries to clinch but Reks is having none of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Reks throws a series of punches but Lakanik avoids them all with ease.
Reks throws a head kick that misses
and Lakanik counters with a head kick that crumples his opponent - he's in a world of trouble! Lakanik looks at the referee who does nothing so Lakanik lands a crushing right that sends Reks to the floor! This time the ref steps in to end the fight.
