Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Keet Rawlee (ranked 6904 p4p, 750 weight class) and Andrew Brekker (ranked 6070 p4p, 714 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Keet Rawlee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Andrew Brekker! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Josh West and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brekker lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rawlee circles away quickly and effectively. Rawlee closes this distance looking for a takedown but Brekker circles away. Brekker throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rawlee. Brekker swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Rawlee has taken the fight to the clinch.

Rawlee definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Rawlee slowing the pace effectively. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rawlee effectively controlling the action here. Rawlee breaks from the clinch.
A jab-cross combination lands for Brekker and sends Rawlee crashing to the mat! Brekker follows him down to the mat - Rawlee regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

It looks like Keet Rawlee has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brekker is controlling the pace.
Oh Rawlee is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Let's hope that Brekker has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Brekker throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Rawlee seems to have got his legs back now. Rawlee is trying to stand up here but Brekker is controlling him well. Brekker sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Rawlee defending well though. Rawlee is looking for a sweep. Brekker is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Rawlee desperately trying to maintain half guard. Rawlee is trying to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Brekker throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Rawlee to regain full guard. Brekker trying to control but Rawlee is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brekker seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Brekker decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Rawlee, up you get! Brekker moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Some wild striking there from Brekker.

and Rawlee counters with a one-two to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A combination from Brekker does no damage. Rawlee gets in close and instigates a clinch. Brekker wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Rawlee tries to pull guard but Brekker holds him up against the cage and eventually Rawlee drops back down to his feet.

Brekker has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Rawlee tries for a takedown but Brekker manages to get underhooks.
Brekker is trying to break free. Rawlee has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Brekker after a bit of a struggle.

Rawlee fails with the takedown. Rawlee is breathing heavily. Rawlee tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Brekker looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Brekker throws a nice looking combination but Rawlee bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Brekker looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. An attempted straight right counter from Rawlee misses the target. Rawlee shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andrew Brekker dominated that round. The cut man is working on Keet Rawlee's cut. That's time! Rawlee's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Brekker throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Brekker has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Rawlee gets a clinch. Rawlee tries to pull guard but Brekker holds him up against the cage and eventually Rawlee drops back down to his feet.
Rawlee escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Rawlee looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Rawlee fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Keet Rawlee is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Brekker misses with a jab, cross combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brekker misses with a double jab.
Brekker swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Rawlee clinches up against the cage. Rawlee drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Rawlee throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A head kick by Rawlee misses and Brekker counters with a left and a right that hurts Rawlee! He wobbles and falls to the floor - he's in big trouble! Brekker jumps into full mount! Brekker tries to control but Rawlee wriggling away. We've been informed that Brekker has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Rawlee is trying to escape the mount.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rawlee is squirming around, avoiding Brekker's attempts to control the action. Rawlee is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Rawlee tries to get back to half guard but can't. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Brekker punching from mount but Rawlee doing a good job of avoiding damage. Rawlee is trying to escape the mount.
Rawlee tries to lock up and control but Brekker gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Rawlee regains half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brekker is trying to control the action in half guard but Rawlee is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Brekker not landing any meaningful shots this time. Rawlee preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Brekker stalling away here and it's allowed Rawlee to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Brekker not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Rawlee keeping moving, preventing Brekker from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Rawlee is controlling Brekker's posture. Brekker must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Rawlee has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Brekker can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Brekker shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Rawlee eats them both and turns towards Brekker to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Rawlee moves in looking to clinch but Brekker pushes him off. Brekker will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Brekker ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rawlee moves away. Rawlee tries to clinch but Brekker is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andrew Brekker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Keet Rawlee's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Brekker tries to bum rush Rawlee with a series of wild strikes but Rawlee uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Rawlee is trying hard to land a takedown here. Brekker sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Rawlee tries to land a front kick but Brekker steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Brekker misses with a series of wild punches.
Rawlee shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Brekker misses with a few strikes there.
Andrew Brekker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Brekker is pawing at Rawlee, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Rawlee's nose. Rawlee is badly hurt! Brekker pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Rawlee tries desperately to hold on but Brekker is relentless in his assault! As Rawlee receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Brekker away and this one is in the books!
