Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mathew Fields (ranked 6636 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samuel Hayward (ranked 8768 p4p, 0 weight class). Hayward has chosen Kari Sigurdsson - Beyond the Horizon as his entrance music. Samuel Hayward has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mathew Fields! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Samuel Hayward! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Ackerman and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hayward shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Fields as he avoids it easily. Fields moves into the clinch. Fields jumps into guard, dragging Hayward to the mat.
Hayward drops back looking for a leg! Fields is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Fields manages to kick Hayward off! Hayward jumps back into Fields's guard. Hayward throwing strikes from guard but Fields blocks nicely. Fields is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Hayward drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Fields dives on top into guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fields distracts Hayward with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Hayward looking for a guillotine here but Fields defends easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fields is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Hayward is looking to sweep but instead, Fields has passed into half guard.
Fields will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Fields throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Fields sitting and controlling from the half guard. Fields really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Fields's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hayward actively working from the bottom here. Hayward looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Fields pushes past his half guard into mount! Fields tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Hayward is in all sorts of trouble here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fields takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hayward is looking to improve his position but Fields isn't that keen on the idea. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fields gets caught flat footed, as Hayward shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Hayward stops Fields from standing up. Hayward makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hayward is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Fields avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Hayward postures up in Fields's guard and throws a big left but Fields blocks it. Fields wants to get back to his feet but Hayward is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Hayward decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fields fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Fields tries to close the distance and clinch but Hayward swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Fields closes the distance and clinches.

A short right hand to the side of the head by Fields. Fields pulls guard successfully.
Hayward drops back looking for a leg! Fields is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Fields manages to kick Hayward off! Hayward jumps back into Fields's guard. Fields is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hayward can do to turn this around? There's a bit of a scramble here and now Fields is on top in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Hayward escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fields gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Fields is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Fields is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Fields is looking to work some ground and pound but Hayward has wrist control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Fields sitting in guard here, content to control. Fields got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hayward has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fields has managed to get both his arms back between Hayward's legs - danger averted. Hayward looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fields engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mathew Fields dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Hayward gets tackled into the cage by Fields. Fields maintains the clinch. Fields gets a trip takedown into half guard. Fields is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Hayward moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fields sitting in guard here, content to control.

Fields is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Hayward. Fields controlling the position. Fields looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Hayward is being controlled here. Fields seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hayward for as long as he can get away with. Hayward is trying to improve his position. A lull in the action here as Fields stalls from top position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Hayward misses with a takedown attempt and Fields counters with a lovely straight right hand! Hayward fails to land the takedown. Fields thinks about countering with a head kick. Fields moves into the clinch successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hayward has hold of one of Fields's legs. Fields is fighting the takedown attempt but Hayward gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Fields working a defensive guard here.
Hayward scoring with some ground and pound. Fields is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hayward is controlling him. Hayward is fighting to break Fields's control of his arms but Fields is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
