Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jake Rome!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mike Miller!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Robert Douchet and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab by Miller.
Mike Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Miller connects with a body shot.
Rome tries to move into range but Miller moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
A decent looking cross lands there for Miller.
Miller throws a low kick but Rome avoids it.
Miller comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Rome takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Rome takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Miller wants to clinch.
Rome swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Miller tries to clinch but Rome moves out of range.
Rome fires out a quick counter leg kick but Miller just manages to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rome walks into a jab.
Miller doesn't manage to clinch there - Rome circles away.
A quick step to the side and Rome tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Miller wants to clinch up but Rome keeps it at a distance.
It looked like Rome was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Miller.
Miller clobbers Rome with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Miller darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Miller tries to clinch up.
Rome appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Miller wants to clinch.
Rome was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Rome takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Miller connects with a looping right hand.
Miller lands with an overhand left.
Miller tries to clinch up.
Miller cracks Rome with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Rome falls to his knees and Miller doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Mike Miller was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
