Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Griffin (ranked 4518 p4p, 486 weight class) and Joe Fletcher Johnson (ranked 8978 p4p, 732 weight class). Ryan Griffin had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Ryan Griffin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joe Fletcher Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Radbod Blank and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Griffin does no damage.
Johnson changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Griffin thows a leg kick but Johnson checks it
and Johnson counters with an outside leg kick.
Johnson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Griffin tries to avoid it but Johnson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Griffin to the ground. Griffin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Johnson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Griffin defends well and Johnson ends up having to push Griffin into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Johnson scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Griffin manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Johnson on his heels. He'll look to pass Johnson's guard now, I'm sure.

That was a close round but I would say that Ryan Griffin will probably get the nod.

Johnson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Griffin manages to get himself to full guard.
Griffin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Johnson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Johnson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Griffin has his foot on Johnson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Johnson works his way back into a safe position though.

Johnson stands and steps away. Griffin gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Griffin quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Johnson has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Griffin celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
