Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ernest Sloan (ranked 9071 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenny Omega (ranked 6598 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Ernest Sloan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kenny Omega!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Andrew Berry and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Omega pushes Sloan up against the cage in a clinch.
Sloan lands a hook to the side of the head.

Omega jumps guard and drags Sloan to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Sloan wants to stand but Omega is controlling his posture from full guard.
Omega trying to control the position here.
Sloan missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Sloan trying to control the position from guard on top but Omega is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sloan drops back looking for a leg! Omega is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Omega manages to kick Sloan off! Sloan jumps back into Omega's guard.
Omega is pulling down on Sloan's head. It's preventing any offense from Sloan, at least for the moment.

Omega has a closed guard, preventing Sloan from standing up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Sloan really is a fat lump.
Omega fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
It looked like Sloan was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Omega.
Sloan keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Sloan stuffs the takedown.

and Sloan connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

As Omega tries to get set, Sloan tries to push him back and clinch up but Omega manages to avoid the attempt.

Omega clinches up with Sloan and pushes him back against the cage.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Omega.
Sloan jumps guard but Omega stands there with Sloan around his waist. Sloan gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Sloan tries to pull guard but Omega forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Omega keeps control of Sloan as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Sloan has Omega pushed against the cage.
Omega tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Sloan smiles and moves away.

Omega with a lazy takedown attempt
and Sloan counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Horrible takedown attempt by Sloan or perhaps it was just good defense by Omega, which made it look bad.
Sloan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sloan wants it to stay on the feet.
Sloan tries to clinch up.
Omega leaves Sloan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Omega steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Sloan.
Sloan stuffs the takedown attempt from Omega. Omega gets slowly back to his feet.
Sloan is looking to counter the offense by Omega and move into the clinch.

Sloan shoots for a takedown but Omega saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Omega thinks about the counter body kick.
Omega lands a body shot.
Omega fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Sloan misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Sloan was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Omega darts in and clinches Sloan up against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ernest Sloan will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Omega throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Omega takes the fight into the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Omega's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Omega decides to pull guard.

Omega is working an open guard so Sloan takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Sloan moves into range and clinches up with Omega.
Sloan tries to stall but Omega uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Omega is looking to break free of the clinch but Sloan has double underhooks.

Sloan breaks the clinch.
Sloan takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
No luck for Sloan with that takedown attempt.

Omega goes for a double leg but Sloan avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Sloan continues to drive forward.
Omega lands a nice shot to the body.

Sloan closes the distance and clinches up with Omega, looking for a takedown. Sloan pushes Omega against the cage but Omega circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Omega moves into range and clinches up with Sloan.

Sloan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Omega shoots in looking for a takedown but Sloan manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Omega's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Sloan lands a left hand that snaps the head of Omega backwards.
Omega is trying to break free.
Come on Sloan - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Sloan tries to break the clinch but Omega is controlling the position.

Sloan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Omega pinned against the cage. Omega gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Omega changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sloan tries to avoid it but Omega manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sloan to the ground. Sloan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Omega rushes Sloan and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
With the fighters up against the cage, Sloan throws an elbow but misses.
Omega tries to pull guard but Sloan won't allow it.
Omega will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Sloan up against the cage.

Sloan wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

A close second round but Kenny Omega will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Sloan creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Kenny Omega comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Omega has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
