Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nick Miller (ranked 9705 p4p, 587 weight class) and Brandon Long (ranked 22795 p4p, 603 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nick Miller! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brandon Long! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Matti Vanhoillinen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Long displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Miller. Long changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Miller closes this distance looking for a takedown but Long circles away. Miller closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Miller is working for a kimura but Long is defending it quite comfortably.
Miller is pressing down on Long's thigh, looking to free his foot. Long is holding on for now. Miller scoring with strikes to the body and head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Long is looking for a sweep. Miller is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Miller is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Long has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller stands up out of the half guard. Long changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Miller tries for a takedown but Long sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Miller. That's going to take a lot out of him. Miller misses with a takedown attempt and Long counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Miller tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Long swivels and escapes. The fighters circle momentarily. Long darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Long stuns Miller with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Miller fails to land the takedown. Miller is breathing heavily. Long fails with the takedown. Miller wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Long stuffs the takedown attempt from Miller. Miller gets slowly back to his feet. Long looks like he wants to counter punch here. Long has taken the fight to the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Long is pushing Miller up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Miller tries to land a knee to the head but Long blocks with his arms.
Long manages to break the clinch.
Miller closes the distance and clinches up with Long, looking for a takedown. Miller pushes Long against the cage but Long circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Long lands a body shot.
Miller gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Long counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Miller with a poor takedown and Long counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
It looks like Nick Miller has been cut. Long clinches up with Miller and pushes him back against the cage. Long escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Long works Miller's body with a nice hook. Miller gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Long counters with a crisp right hand that drops Miller! Long lets Miller back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Miller is rocked!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Long cracks Miller on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Miller falls backwards against the cage. Long follows up with more strikes that drop Miller to his knees. Long keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Miller! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brandon Long! Brandon Long decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
