Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brutus Kowalski (ranked 1878 p4p, 270 weight class) and Mike Smith (ranked 3102 p4p, 434 weight class). Kowalski comes to the cage accompanied by Pantera - Fucking Hostile. Smith has chosen Therion - Sitra Ahra as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

20 - 23 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Smith!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Bruno Lombardi and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith cracks Kowalski with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Kowalski lands a jab to the nose.
Kowalski throws a body shot but no joy.
Smith feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Kowalski's calf.
Kowalski lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
A decent looking cross lands there for Kowalski.
Kowalski throws a right hand that misses
and Smith counters with a big head kick but Kowalski shrugs it off.
Smith sizes up Kowalski with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Kowalski works Smith's body with a nice hook.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kowalski lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Smith throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kowalski missing with a left hand there. Smith was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Kowalski throws a nice outside leg kick.
Mike Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith takes a shot right to the bread basket.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kowalski throws a hook to the side of Smith's head but Smith sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Kowalski is looking to score with low kicks.
Smith throws a lazy head kick
and Kowalski counters with a good low kick that Smith was not able to check.
Smith throws a body punch but Kowalski moves out of range.
Smith throws an off balance right hand
and Smith takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Kowalski lands a nice hook to Smith's body. Smith takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Smith lands a high kick!
Kowalski throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
It seemed like Smith was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Kowalski looks to land a left hand but Smith moved out of range nicely.
Kowalski blocks a head kick by Smith.
Smith walks into a left hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Smith misses with an uppercut
and Kowalski cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Smith is rocked!
A low kick from Smith misses
and Kowalski counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Smith out cold! What a finish! Kowalski is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Brutus Kowalski!
Brutus Kowalski was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
