Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Liber Alderich (ranked 1920 p4p, 291 weight class) and Michael Carter Williams (ranked 665 p4p, 115 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Alderich might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Remember the name. The crowd seem to be enjoying Williams 's choice of entrance music: FREE THE MADNESS. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alderich pushes Williams up against the cage in a clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Williams creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
A right hook to the body lands for Alderich.
Alderich tries a body shot but Williams blocks it.
Williams throws an elbow but it misses.
Alderich tries to throw a body punch but Williams avoids it by throwing Alderich back against the cage.

We've been hearing reports that Alderich has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Oh Alderich is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Williams has Alderich pressed against the cage. He pushes Alderich back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Williams throws a beautiful elbow that sends Alderich crashing to the floor! Williams piles on the pressure with more strikes! Alderich is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
