Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Max Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brad Pickett! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Daniel Cesar and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Pickett is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Johnson is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Pickett is working to get back to half guard.
Pickett tries to lock up and control but Johnson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pickett keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Pickett wants to hold on but Johnson pushes him away. Pickett is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Johnson is staying active.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson looking to control and managing it successfully. Pickett is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Johnson lands a big elbow. Johnson controlling the position easily from mount. Pickett wants to control but Johnson is having none of it.

Pickett tries to lock up and control but Johnson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Pickett tries to improve his position but Johnson has taken his back! Johnson has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Pickett tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Johnson pushes Pickett away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
