Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Von Dyer (ranked 4830 p4p, 447 weight class) and Tyler Mills (ranked 5037 p4p, 456 weight class). The key to victory for Von Dyer has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Von Dyer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tyler Mills! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Bart Greer and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed right hand from Dyer misses the target. Von Dyer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dyer lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mills circles away quickly and effectively. Mills shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Mills in particular looking to stall. Mills is trying to work for a kimura but Dyer is defending well.
Dyer is trying to stand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mills looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Mills stalling.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dyer has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mills is working away from the top position though. Mills keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Dyer wants to improve his position but Mills is controlling well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Mills prevents Dyer from standing back up.
Mills works his way into side control. Dyer is looking to regain half guard here but Mills keeps moving and retains side control. Dyer looks to move to half guard but instead Mills has passed into mount! Damn! Dyer is trying to escape the mount.
Dyer has left one of his arms exposed and Mills doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Dyer screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Tyler Mills! After the fight, Tyler Mills was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
