Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Pat Patty (ranked 6584 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rafael DeJesus (ranked 8541 p4p, 0 weight class). DeJesus has chosen "Best People in the World" by Elliphant as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pat Patty! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rafael DeJesus! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Patty with a poor takedown and DeJesus connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. DeJesus throws a head kick that misses and Patty holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. DeJesus is trying to break the clinch but Patty has him pressed against the cage. Patty drops down looking for an ankle pick but DeJesus pulls his leg out and moves away.
DeJesus darts in looking for a takedown but Patty gets double underhooks and turns DeJesus into the cage. DeJesus tries for a takedown but Patty sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. DeJesus looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. DeJesus misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Patty feinted with a counter takedown. Patty connects with a leg kick. DeJesus looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. DeJesus thuds a left hand into Patty's body. Patty fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging DeJesus to the ground. Patty is now in DeJesus's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Patty stands and steps away. DeJesus gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Horrible takedown attempt by Patty or perhaps it was just good defense by DeJesus, which made it look bad. DeJesus unleashes a big counter combination but Patty bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pat Patty. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. DeJesus throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Patty counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for DeJesus! DeJesus throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Pat Patty seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Patty closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Patty stands up and beckons DeJesus to join him on the feet. Patty tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Patty takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Patty shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Patty showed some decent athleticism there. Patty is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. DeJesus is trying to stand up here but Patty is controlling him well. DeJesus trying to control but Patty postures up.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Patty looking to pass the guard. Patty throwing strikes from guard but DeJesus blocks nicely. Patty stands up and waves to DeJesus to follow him. Patty throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. DeJesus was covering up waiting for the punch and Patty finishes the takedown easily into guard. DeJesus kicks Patty off and gets to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Patty darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. DeJesus pushes Patty off and gets back to his feet. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Patty takes a body punch but keeps moving. Patty swinging wildly here.
DeJesus gets a clinch. DeJesus tries to pull guard but Patty holds him up against the cage and eventually DeJesus drops back down to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rafael DeJesus dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Patty fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but DeJesus avoids it really well and circles away. Excellent takedown into side control there by Patty. DeJesus throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Patty misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. DeJesus swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Patty fails to land the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pat Patty. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Patty shoots in for a double leg but DeJesus sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Patty closes this distance looking for a takedown but DeJesus circles away. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. DeJesus shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Patty is looking to counter the offense by DeJesus and move into the clinch. Patty closes the distance and clinches. DeJesus pulls guard successfully.
Patty in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Patty won't allow DeJesus to get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Patty advances to half guard. Patty escapes and gets back to his feet. DeJesus clinches up against the cage. DeJesus will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Patty up against the cage.

Patty tries to score a body lock takedown but DeJesus shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Patty keeps the fight in the clinch, despite DeJesus's efforts to push away. Patty is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. DeJesus has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Patty tries to pull guard but DeJesus forces him back to his feet, against the cage. DeJesus controlling the action here for a moment.
DeJesus is trying to push Patty away but Patty has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
That's three minutes gone in the round. DeJesus is trying to pull guard but Patty turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Patty is trying to pull guard but DeJesus has him pressed against the cage. DeJesus fails to pull the fight into his guard.
DeJesus wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Patty has him pressed against the cage. Patty tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Patty wants to get back to striking at distance but DeJesus won't allow it.
Patty is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables DeJesus to keep the fight standing. DeJesus lands with a right to the head. DeJesus is looking to break free of the clinch but Patty has double underhooks. DeJesus lands with a short head shot on the inside. A frustrated look appears on DeJesus's face as he tries to break the clinch. DeJesus is looking for a takedown. DeJesus fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Patty throws a punch but it's blocked by DeJesus.
That's four minutes gone in the round. DeJesus jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Patty walks away with a smile on his face. DeJesus gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Patty pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Patty gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and DeJesus counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Patty blocks a head kick by DeJesus.
Patty lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Patty's hands are dropping dangerously low here and DeJesus connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Patty scrambles back to his feet. DeJesus shoots for a takedown but Patty saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Patty dives in for a single leg takedown but DeJesus sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. DeJesus looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Patty! Patty bucks up and tries to throw DeJesus off but instead DeJesus has got his back! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rafael DeJesus showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
DeJesus closes the distance and clinches up with Patty, looking for a takedown. DeJesus pushes Patty against the cage but Patty circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. DeJesus leaves Patty with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Patty throws a lazy head kick and DeJesus counters with a nice uppercut. Patty shoots in but no luck this time. DeJesus fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Patty, pushing him back against the cage. DeJesus tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Patty just stands there and leans against the cage. Patty prevents DeJesus from breaking the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Patty looking to stall.
Patty changes levels and goes for a takedown here. DeJesus fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pat Patty. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are breathing heavily. DeJesus lands with a nice combination. Patty backs away looking to recover.
Patty is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round. DeJesus walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Patty drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! DeJesus swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Patty's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rafael DeJesus! A pretty intense looking Rafael DeJesus took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
