Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Georges Penn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, DeMarcus Kilroy!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn is looking to clinch.
Kilroy slips a jab and a cross from Penn.
No joy there for Penn, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kilroy stuffs the takedown.
Penn misses with a series of wild punches.
Kilroy circles away from the clinch attempt.
Penn looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Kilroy keeps the fight on the outside.

Penn decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Penn thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Kilroy wants to get back to his feet.
Penn thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kilroy's head.

Penn is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Penn tries to stand and escape but Kilroy is controlling the position.
Penn seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kilroy does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Penn counters by moving into the clinch.
Kilroy manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Kilroy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Kilroy seems keen to control Penn's posture.
Penn throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kilroy works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Kilroy throws a head punch that misses.

Penn manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Penn closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Kilroy is trying to keep Penn in close.

Penn decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Georges Penn is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

and Kilroy counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Penn!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kilroy wants to control the pace but Penn is squirming around nicely.

Kilroy is looking to stand but Kilroy has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Kilroy passes Penn's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Kilroy is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Penn doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kilroy.

Kilroy is trying to control. Penn wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Kilroy might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Penn kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Penn is looking for a sweep. Kilroy is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Kilroy misses with a few strikes there.
Penn misses with a takedown attempt

and Kilroy counters with a takedown into side control.

Kilroy tries for a kimura but Penn is defending well.
Kilroy has control of an arm but Penn manages to advance to Kilroy's back!
Penn has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

DeMarcus Kilroy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Penn had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Kilroy is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Penn Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Kilroy's back instead.
Kilroy takes a big shot to the side of the head.
Kilroy covering up well and avoiding damage.
Kilroy looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Penn lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Penn.
Penn scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Kilroy is looking for a way out.
Penn is trying to stick to Kilroy's back but Kilroy is turning into Penn. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Penn's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Kilroy.

Penn tries to lock up and control but Kilroy gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Kilroy wants to control the pace but Penn is squirming around nicely.
Penn is trying to stand.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Penn is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Penn is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Kilroy lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Penn hang on?
Kilroy controlling from mount.
Penn manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Kilroy stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Penn to get to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Georges Penn.
I think Penn has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
