1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, MIke Fernandes! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some wild striking there from Lesnar.
Fernandes unleashes a big counter combination but Lesnar bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Lesnar misses with a series of wild punches.
Lesnar fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Lesnar looks to land a right hand but Fernandes moved out of range. Sloppy strikes from Lesnar. Those never looked like landing. Fernandes rushes Lesnar and presses him up against the cage. A nice right hand lands inside from Lesnar. Fernandes lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Lesnar. Lesnar lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Fernandes blocks a punch to the side of the head.

A big left from Lesnar misses. Lesnar throws an overhand right that lands on Fernandes's shoulder, as Fernandes tries to avoid the shot. Lesnar throws a right and a left that Fernandes avoids nicely. Lesnar throws a combination that misses and Fernandes counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lesnar won't be happy with that. Lesnar tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Fernandes presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lesnar tries to improve his position but Fernandes has taken his back! Fernandes has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Lesnar tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Fernandes pushes Lesnar away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
