Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nikos Giannopoulos (ranked 8479 p4p, 762 weight class) and Karl Vinson (ranked 4510 p4p, 556 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nikos Giannopoulos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Karl Vinson! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vinson moves in looking to clinch but Giannopoulos pushes him off. Vinson misses with a hook. Nikos Giannopoulos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Vinson just misses with a punch to the body.
Vinson tries to close the distance and clinch but Giannopoulos swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Giannopoulos avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Vinson jabs Giannopoulos to the body, keeping him at a distance. Vinson looks to throw a body kick and Giannopoulos counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Giannopoulos moves into the clinch. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Giannopoulos creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Vinson tries to work over Giannopoulos's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Giannopoulos tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Vinson blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Vinson manages to break the clinch.
Giannopoulos cracks a nice hook into Vinson's ribs. Giannopoulos checks a low kick from Vinson. Giannopoulos on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Giannopoulos scores with a nice head shot. Giannopoulos tests Vinson's chin there with a solid looking shot. Giannopoulos lands with a thumping leg kick.
Giannopoulos gets tackled into the cage by Vinson. Vinson maintains the clinch. Giannopoulos fails to pull the fight into his guard.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Giannopoulos struggles to land a body shot inside as Vinson controls his hands.
Still in the clinch, Giannopoulos scores with a nice short uppercut. A short right hand to the side of the head by Giannopoulos.
Vinson is rocked! Giannopoulos tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Giannopoulos pushes Vinson against the cage. Giannopoulos is working some dirty boxing. Giannopoulos pushes off with a quick right hook! Vinson goes down! Vinson tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Giannopoulos moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nikos Giannopoulos! Nikos Giannopoulos was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
