Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Stone! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tap Out! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Eddie Farnsworth and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Out looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Stone is fending him off so far but Out persists. Nope, Stone circles away and we're back to standing. Tap Out seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stone lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Out should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Out shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Out slaps away a takedown attempt from Stone, before circling back to the center of the mat. Out follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Out shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Jack Stone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tap Out. Stone doesn't manage to clinch there - Out circles away.
Stone closes this distance looking for a takedown but Out circles away. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Out is defended easily by Stone. Out goes for a double leg but Stone avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Stone continues to drive forward. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Out shoots and misses and Out takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Out shoots in looking for a takedown. Stone tries to sprawl out of it but Out keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Stone manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Stone lands with a thumping leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Out goes for a double leg but Stone avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Stone continues to drive forward. Out tries to keep at a distance but Stone has taken the fight into the clinch. Out is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Stone gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Out tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Stone just stands there and leans against the cage. Out tries for a takedown but Stone manages to get underhooks.
Stone stops a takedown attempt from Out.
Out wants a takedown but no success here.
Stone's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Out doesn't succeed with the takedown letting Stone counter with a right hand. Out stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Out wants it to stay on the feet. Stone moves into range and clinches up with Out. Stone looking for a takedown. Out has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Stone is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stone gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Out.
Stone escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Out has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Stone gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Stone decides to pull guard. Stone trying to control the position here. Stone wants to control position but Out is using a can opener to pass guard... He's turned it into a full on guillotine from mount now! Big trouble for Stone here! He's turning a lovely shade of purple and yep! He's tapping out! I would say world class Jiu Jitsu but is it really? It was nice but let's not get silly about it.
