Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonas Hawkins (ranked 9799 p4p, 0 weight class) and Piotr Mazur (ranked 25739 p4p, 0 weight class). Piotr Mazur has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jonas Hawkins's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jonas Hawkins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Piotr Mazur! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hawkins misses with a head kick.
Mazur swinging wildly here.
Hawkins is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Mazur. Mazur shoots in and bounces Hawkins off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Hawkins pushes Mazur off and scrambles back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mazur drives through with a takedown into guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hawkins looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hawkins preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Mazur distracts Hawkins with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Hawkins working a defensive guard here.
Mazur landing some decent shots from guard. Mazur looking to sit in guard and control but Hawkins gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Hawkins throws a strike but Mazur rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Hawkins manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mazur manages to get himself to full guard.
Mazur is working an open guard so Hawkins takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. No luck for Hawkins with that takedown attempt. Mazur misses with an uppercut. Hawkins saw that one coming. Hawkins gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Mazur to score an easy takedown into full guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mazur works a leg free and moves into half guard. Mazur is looking for a kimura here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Hawkins won't allow Mazur to pass to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hawkins is doing well to control the position and prevent Mazur from advancing to side control. Hawkins tries to roll over but Mazur keeps him under control. Hawkins is working hard here to advance position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hawkins taking some punishment here, with Mazur in his half guard. Mazur stalling. Mazur blocks the strikes from Hawkins.

Hawkins dives in for a single leg takedown but Mazur sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Mazur doesn't succeed with the takedown and Hawkins counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Mazur slowing the pace effectively. Mazur has had enough of the clinch but Hawkins keeps him there for the moment. Mazur manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Hawkins throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Mazur has a closed guard, preventing Hawkins from standing up. Hawkins really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Mazur trying to control the position from guard on top but Hawkins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mazur preventing the sweep. Hawkins wants to improve his position but instead Mazur has moved into half guard.
Hawkins is pressing down on Mazur's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Mazur stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hawkins swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Hawkins seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Hawkins looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mazur is one step ahead there. Hawkins wants to stand up but Mazur is controlling him. Piotr Mazur has got the better of the ground game so far. Hawkins is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Mazur. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mazur lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hawkins circles away quickly and effectively. Mazur will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Mazur throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Mazur on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Hawkins. Hawkins obviously looking to wear him down.
Mazur has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Mazur shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hawkins napping and manages to drive through into side control! Mazur scoring with punches from side control. Mazur working away. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hawkins holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mazur cracks Hawkins with a big right hand but Hawkins just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Hawkins is trying to get back to half guard. Mazur prevents Hawkins from escaping the position. Mazur tries for a kimura but Hawkins is defending well. Hawkins is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Mazur's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. This has been an exciting period of action! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mazur working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Hawkins's thigh. Hawkins counters though and makes it back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Piotr Mazur showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Hawkins seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Mazur throws a body kick that misses. Hawkins appears to be looking for a big counter. Mazur closes the distance and pushes Hawkins back into the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hawkins missing with knees to the body.

Jonas Hawkins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Piotr Mazur. Hawkins wants a takedown but no success here.
Mazur has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hawkins is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Mazur gets underhooks to prevent Hawkins's takedown attempt.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Mazur has Hawkins pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hawkins manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Hawkins is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Mazur is defending well. Hawkins is trying to drag Mazur to the mat but Mazur just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Hawkins goes for a takedown attempt but Mazur pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Mazur working the ground and pound. Mazur wants to control but Hawkins is keeping him busy. Mazur decides to stand back up. A looping hook to the body misses from Mazur. Hawkins does a little dance to reset his feet. Hawkins wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Mazur moves into range and clinches up with Hawkins.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hawkins is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Mazur is defending well. Hawkins is trying to pull guard but Mazur has him pressed against the cage. Mazur tries for a takedown. No joy.
Mazur tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hawkins smiles and moves away.
Mazur closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Hawkins wants the takedown. Mazur is fighting it off but Hawkins persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Mazur's guard against the cage. Hawkins working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Hawkins throws a sloppy strike and Mazur has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Hawkins is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Mazur!
