Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Saleem Al Khan (ranked 4707 p4p, 560 weight class) and Maxim Taisumov (ranked 3729 p4p, 474 weight class). Al Khan kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Three Days Grace - Scared. The crowd seem to be enjoying Taisumov's choice of entrance music: eRa- Enae Volare Mezzo. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taisumov displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Al Khan.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Taisumov postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Al Khan is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Taisumov, into his guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
