PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lamont Hawkins (ranked 1510 p4p, 163 weight class) and Perseen Suti (ranked 2003 p4p, 202 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hawkins might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Wu-Tang Clan - C.R.E.A.M. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suti closes the distance and clinches up with Hawkins, looking for a takedown. Suti pushes Hawkins against the cage but Hawkins circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Hawkins is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Hawkins takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Hawkins has Suti pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Hawkins pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Suti tumbling to the mat - Hawkins dives into Suti's guard.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Suti! But no joy.
Hawkins on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Suti will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Hawkins closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Suti did well to prevent Hawkins getting side control.
Well, if Hawkins is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Lamont Hawkins.
