The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circle momentarily. De Pacas darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Petawawa fails in his attempt to clinch.
De Pacas throws a hook but Petawawa blocks it.
Pedro De Pacas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Petawawa is looking to clinch but De Pacas is avoiding it.
Petawawa tries to clinch up but De Pacas circles away and keeps his distance.
De Pacas jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
De Pacas drops Petawawa with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Petawawa looks back up at him and smiles so De Pacas waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Petawawa is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
De Pacas sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Petawawa's defenses. It connects perfectly with Petawawa's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Pedro De Pacas!
Pedro De Pacas took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title.
