The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Chaney to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Chaney shrugs it off.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Chaney enables Jackson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Chaney manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

You can see the frustration on Chaney's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Chaney is looking for a sweep. Jackson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Chaney has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Jackson is on him like a limpet, forcing Chaney back against the cage.

That was a close second round but I would say that Horacio Chaney will probably get the nod.

Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chaney. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Chaney is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jackson defends well.

Aaron Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A head kick from Jackson lands but Chaney takes it in his stride.

Chaney tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jackson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Jackson remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Jackson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Well Jackson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
