2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Im The! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Santiago Holmes and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nggunou swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by The. Nggunou shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts The as he jumps to the side. Nggunou misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
The gets caught napping as Nggunou dives in and scores a takedown. The manages to retain guard. Nggunou not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The wants to stand and escape but Nggunou is having none of it. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Nggunou drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Nggunou jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. The preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Nggunou could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Nggunou lands an elbow to the side of the head. Nggunou is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. The has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Nggunou has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! The taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Nggunou doesn't care though - he's delighted!
