Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Buddy Huber!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Antwan Turner!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Huber enables Turner to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Huber manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Turner tries to free his leg and advance position but Huber is retaining full guard.
Turner is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Turner controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Turner trying to control the position from guard on top but Huber is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Huber is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Huber working for a triangle but Turner defends it easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Turner postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Huber looking to hit a scissor sweep but Turner is one step ahead there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Turner is in close to Huber's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Turner is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Huber thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Huber wants to clinch.
Antwan Turner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Huber fails to land the takedown.
Huber shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Turner defends it nicely.
Turner rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Huber moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Huber tries to counter by clinching up but Turner breaks away and moves out of range.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Huber closes the distance and pushes Turner back into the cage.
Turner looking to throw knees to the head but Huber is blocking nicely.

Turner breaks from the clinch.
Huber avoids a kick to the body.
Turner looks to land a body kick but Huber moved away.
Huber misses with a takedown attempt - Turner sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Buddy Huber. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Turner clinches up with Huber and pushes him back against the cage.
Huber stalling in the clinch but Turner improves position.

Huber really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Huber blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Turner stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Turner wants the takedown. Huber is fighting it off but Turner persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Huber's guard against the cage.
Huber is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Turner scoring with some ground and pound.
Turner must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Turner accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Huber looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Turner throws a strike but Huber rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Huber wants to stand but Turner is controlling his posture from full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Antwan Turner dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Huber moves out of range of the body kick from Turner.
Turner has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Turner closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Huber quickly recovers to half guard.
Turner seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Turner lands a nice short elbow.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Turner in particular looking to stall.
Turner is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Huber tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Turner is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Turner. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Turner lands with a punch from half guard.
Turner is trying to control the action in half guard but Huber is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Huber holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Turner lands a nice short elbow.
Turner drops an elbow to the side of Huber's head.


Huber is rocked!
Turner with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Oh Huber is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Turner lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Huber looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Turner pushes past his half guard into mount!
Huber is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Turner is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Huber is surviving well by controlling Turner's body position as best he can.
Antwan Turner has got the better of the ground game so far.
Turner drops a big elbow. That's hurt Huber! More shots from Turner and the ref steps in! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Antwan Turner!
During a confident post fight interview, Antwan Turner thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
