Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Hamza Keita (ranked 7128 p4p, 0 weight class) and TheDragon Reborn (ranked 2372 p4p, 309 weight class). Keita comes to the cage accompanied by Secka - Pointure . TheDragon Reborn is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, William Peck and Dillan Fox.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Reborn closes the distance and pushes Keita back into the cage.

Reborn is trying to trip Keita. He has hold of a leg but Keita is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Reborn persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Keita looking for a guillotine here but Reborn defends easily.

Keita working for a triangle but Reborn defends it easily.
Keita is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Keita looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Keita is looking for a triangle but Reborn pushes his legs off easily.

Keita has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Reborn can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Keita throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Reborn escapes and throws Keita's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Reborn working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Keita is not content to let Reborn control the position.
Reborn tries to advance to mount but can't.

Reborn tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Reborn has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Reborn is trying to get an arm triangle but Keita is defending well.

Keita wants to control but Reborn postures up.

Reborn is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Keita has escaped the position, nice work there.

Reborn goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Keita has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Reborn but great work by Keita.

Keita is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Reborn is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Reborn is trying to get back to half guard.

Keita is looking to take a break and control but Reborn is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Reborn tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Keita wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Reborn is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Keita's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Keita! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Reborn has tapped! This one is allllll over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Hamza Keita!
A relieved looking Hamza Keita thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
