Coming up we have a welterweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Kasey Scorpion (ranked 452 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vinny Hopkins (ranked 23 p4p, 0 weight class). Scorpion comes to the cage accompanied by Jiu Jitsu. Hopkins is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Manny Pacquiao - Lalaban Ako . I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Vinny Hopkins was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

In the red corner, competing out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 2 losses; Kasey Scorpion! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Vinny Hopkins! The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Ben Hemmingworth and Donatello Bradman.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Hopkins closes the distance and clinches. Scorpion gets control of Hopkins's arms and successfully pulls guard. Scorpion will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Scorpion is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Scorpion tries to land a sweep but no joy. Hopkins avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Scorpion keeping full guard, as Hopkins tries to pass. Hopkins preventing the sweep. Hopkins tries to free his leg and advance position but Scorpion is retaining full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Scorpion is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hopkins is aware though and is defending well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Scorpion seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Hopkins slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Scorpion looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scorpion is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Scorpion is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hopkins is aware though and is defending well. Scorpion can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hopkins controls the pace. Hopkins's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Hopkins looking to pass the guard. Hopkins is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Scorpion controls Hopkins momentarily but Hopkins frees himself. Hopkins stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Scorpion swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Scorpion can't keep his opponent in guard - Hopkins advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Hopkins is looking to advance position but Scorpion won't allow it. Scorpion is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Canadian Elite Bruins Gym, so we'll see if he gets out of it. Scorpion is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hopkins pulls his head out easily. Scorpion is pressing down on Hopkins's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Scorpion keeping full guard, as Hopkins tries to pass. Hopkins is sitting in close to Scorpion's body. Scorpion has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Hopkins is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Hopkins is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Scorpion.
