Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Leon Opstad (ranked 7220 p4p, 655 weight class) and Sarel The Eagle (ranked 7716 p4p, 677 weight class). Opstad's entrance music is Moby - Natural Blues. A fine choice. Leon Opstad has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Leon Opstad! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Sarel The Eagle! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The Eagle has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from The Eagle there as he acknowledges the shot. Opstad shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Well, if Opstad is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The Eagle is trying to get back to full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Opstad stops The Eagle from getting back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. The Eagle has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Opstad is working away from the top position though. Opstad working The Eagle over with strikes. Opstad is taking a breather. The Eagle says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Opstad tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Opstad is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so The Eagle is just riding it out for now. Opstad eventually gives up the hold. Opstad is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Still in half guard, Opstad seems content to control. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Opstad connects with a nice short shot to The Eagle's temple. Opstad has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Opstad looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks The Eagle with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. The Eagle is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Opstad pulls his head out easily. Opstad takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. The Eagle tries to roll over but Opstad keeps him under control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Opstad moves into full mount! The Eagle won't be happy about that! The Eagle is looking to get to half guard. Opstad controlling the pace for now. Opstad scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish The Eagle?
Opstad controlling the position easily from mount. The Eagle bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Opstad lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. The Eagle utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Opstad cracks The Eagle with a solid left hand. Opstad loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Opstad is looking to stand up but The Eagle won't let him. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Opstad stopping the sweep attempt from The Eagle. Opstad decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on The Eagle, up you get! Opstad connects with a single shot there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Leon Opstad dominated that round. That's time! Opstad's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
The Eagle tries to clinch but Opstad is having none of it. The Eagle tries for a takedown but Opstad sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. The Eagle tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Opstad paws at him with a jab and circles away. Sarel The Eagle is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Opstad lands a huge takedown. The Eagle is out but the ref is slow to react and Opstad lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. The Eagle lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:17 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Leon Opstad!
