Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Choco Lobo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Earthquake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Jake Earthquake enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Choco Lobo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jake Earthquake!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Earthquake shoots for a takedown but Lobo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Lobo tries to clinch up.
Earthquake lands with an uppercut that bounces Lobo off the cage and back into rage.
Lobo throws a series of punches but Earthquake moves out of range.

Earthquake gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Earthquake is trying to break the clinch but Lobo has him pressed against the cage.
Lobo is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Earthquake gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Choco Lobo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Lobo shoots for a double leg takedown but Earthquake sprawls well. He's pushed Lobo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Earthquake has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Lobo avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Lobo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Earthquake is working away from the top position though.
Earthquake seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lobo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Lobo bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Earthquake can't do much from the bottom here.

Earthquake tries to buck Lobo off but Lobo is having none of it.
Earthquake tries to strike from the bottom but misses.
Earthquake tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lobo wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Jake Earthquake showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Earthquake swats away the attempt to clinch by Lobo.

Lobo tries to close the distance and clinch but Earthquake swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Lobo utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Lobo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Earthquake must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Earthquake wants to control from the top but Lobo keeps moving.

Earthquake tries to free his leg and advance position but Lobo is retaining full guard.
Lobo wants to stand but Earthquake is controlling the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Lobo doesn't manage to clinch there - Earthquake circles away.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Earthquake doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Lobo counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Lobo.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lobo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Earthquake will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Earthquake is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Earthquake manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lobo manages to get himself to full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Choco Lobo.
Well Earthquake has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
