Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ed Tucker (ranked 6574 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Carsly (ranked 8535 p4p, 0 weight class). Tucker comes into the arena with Lynyrd Skynyrd - Gimme Back My Bullets blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ben Carsly!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tucker looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Carsly is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Tucker.
Tucker throws a nice looking combination but Carsly bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Carsly throws a jab when Tucker was well out of range.

Carsly drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Tucker will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Carsly postures up in Tucker's guard and throws a big left but Tucker blocks it.

Carsly with a flurry of punches that miss.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Carsly throws a big right hand that misses.
Carsly working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Carsly stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tucker swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Carsly content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Tucker can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Carsly controls the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters circling - Tucker throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Carsly takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Ed Tucker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tucker throws a series of punches but Carsly moves out of range.
Tucker is breathing heavily.

Carsly manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Tucker on his heels. He'll look to pass Tucker's guard now, I'm sure.

Carsly wants to control from the top but Tucker keeps moving.

Carsly stands up over Tucker, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ben Carsly dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Tucker tries to sprawl but Carsly drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Tucker on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Carsly winds up and cracks Tucker with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Carsly is nestled in close to Tucker, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Ben Carsly has got the better of the ground game so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Carsly working over Tucker with some ground and pound. Tucker looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Carsly working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Carsly is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Tucker is hurt! He's hurt bad - Carsly fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Tucker from any more punishment! Congratulations to Carsly! Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ben Carsly!
