Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Mueller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Logan Briggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Roosa Järviläinen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mueller shoots in for a double leg but Briggs sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Briggs forces Mueller back against the cage and clinches.
Mueller has Briggs pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Mueller pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Briggs tumbling to the mat - Mueller dives into Briggs's guard.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Briggs works over Mueller's head and body with a nice combination.

and Briggs decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mueller's guard.

Briggs is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mueller is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Mueller tries to control Briggs's body but Briggs pushes him off. Mueller squirms to his side and now Briggs has his back!
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Briggs's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Mueller is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Briggs.

Briggs tries to keep control of the position but Mueller is staying busy.
Briggs has Mueller flattened out and is raining down punches.
Mueller manages to reverse the position and now he's in Briggs's guard. Nice work there by Mueller.

Mueller postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Briggs is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Mueller, into his guard.
Briggs decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Briggs shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mueller's guard.
Mueller is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Mueller has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Briggs is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Mueller.
Briggs decides to stand up, so the ref orders Mueller to his feet.

Logan Briggs showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Mueller had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Briggs is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Mueller Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Briggs's back instead.

Well Briggs has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
