Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jonny Knockout! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, William Wallace! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Glass and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A shot to the body from Wallace misses and Knockout counters with an outside leg kick.
Wallace loads up on a big right hand but Knockout slips the punch. Knockout is looking to slow Wallace down with leg kicks. Wallace tries to bum rush Knockout with a series of wild strikes but Knockout uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Knockout lands a front kick. Jonny Knockout seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Knockout with a jab. Wallace misses with a hook. Wallace misses with a looping right. And Knockout counters with a quick kick to the body but Wallace blocks it. Knockout misses with a series of wild punches.
It seemed like Wallace was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Sloppy strikes from Wallace. Those never looked like landing. We've been informed that Wallace has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Knockout thows a leg kick but Wallace checks it letting Wallace counter with a right hand. A low kick from Knockout is predictable there and Wallace counters with a nice body shot. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Knockout dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Knockout's corner calls for a 1-2. Knockout obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Wallace takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wallace lands the left hand. Knockout fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Wallace on the side of the head. Knockout looks to land a combination. Wallace sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Wallace walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Knockout drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Wallace swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Knockout's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). William Wallace! A very excited looking William Wallace made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
