Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gunter Schultz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rudi Loens!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Jorge Garcia and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Loens lands with a shot to the body.
Loens misses with a left hand

and Schultz counters with a nice double leg into side control. Loens won't be happy with that.

Schultz wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Loens, who protects the arm well.
Loens is pushing Schultz's head away, looking to escape. Schultz manages to hold on to the position though.

Schultz has hold of Loens's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Loens seems comfortable defending it but Schultz has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Loens is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Loens is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Schultz couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Gunter Schultz!
Gunter Schultz was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
Rudi Loens was interviewed post fight and said 'sorry losing this fight, my opponent today was better as myself, no regrets, i'll be back better and stronger'.
