Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vlad Snapper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimbo Malac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Snapper's entrance music is Lordi-Blood Red Sandman. A fine choice. Jimbo Malac has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vlad Snapper! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jimbo Malac! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Emerson Jorge and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Snapper gets in close and instigates a clinch. Malac manages to pull guard.
Snapper tries to stand but Malac is controlling from the bottom. Malac escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Snapper gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Snapper trying to stand up but can't free himself from Malac's guard. Malac working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Snapper doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Snapper manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Malac has his foot on Snapper's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Snapper works his way back into a safe position though. Malac keeping moving, preventing Snapper from controlling successfully. Malac has a closed guard, preventing Snapper from standing up. Snapper decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Snapper fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Malac, pushing him back against the cage. Snapper has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Malac uses from the top position. Malac drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Malac jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Snapper uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Malac looks gassed! Malac shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Snapper but Snapper pushes him off and we're back to square one. Malac throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Snapper's waist but Snapper gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Malac off to one side. Snapper plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Snapper rushes Malac and presses him up against the cage. Snapper lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

Snapper strikes from his own guard. Snapper is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Malac should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Malac drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Snapper dives on top into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Snapper would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Snapper gets to his feet. Malac looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Snapper fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Malac sprawls well initially but Snapper persists and gets the takedown into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Snapper stands up and beckons Malac to join him on the feet. Snapper fails with a takedown attempt. Malac shoots and misses and Snapper counters with a single leg into guard. Malac didn't expect that. Vlad Snapper has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimbo Malac. Snapper is looking to stand up but Malac won't let him. Snapper postures up and lands a big shot to Malac's brow. Snapper trying to stand up but can't free himself from Malac's guard. Snapper postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Snapper wants to stand but Malac is controlling his posture from full guard. Snapper will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Malac throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Snapper stands and steps away. Malac gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Snapper shoots in and bounces Malac off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Snapper trying to control but Malac is working from the bottom. Snapper wants to stand but Malac has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Malac looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Malac has his foot on Snapper's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Snapper works his way back into a safe position though. Malac is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Snapper stands up from Malac's guard - Snapper perhaps looking for a knockout. Malac misses with a takedown and Snapper counters with a shoot takedown. Malac fights it but they end up in guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Vlad Snapper dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Malac is desperately trying to improve his position but Snapper has a good base and remains in mount. Malac regains half guard. Malac actively working from the bottom here. Malac regains full guard. Snapper decides to take the fight back to the feet. Snapper shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Snapper was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Malac manages to regain half guard. Good work. Snapper stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Malac to get to his feet. Malac takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Snapper wants to control the pace but Malac is squirming around nicely. Malac is trying desperately to improve position. Snapper trying to control but he's not successful this time. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's going to take a lot out of Jimbo Malac. Malac jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Snapper walks away with a smile on his face. Malac gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Malac avoids the head kick by Snapper.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Malac with a lazy takedown attempt and Snapper counters with a nice uppercut. Jimbo Malac seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Snapper lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Snapper closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Jimbo Malac has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Snapper trying to control the action but Malac is working from the bottom. Malac is looking for a sweep. Snapper has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Malac! Malac is trying to escape the mount.

And that's the end of the fight! Vlad Snapper showed his dominance in that final round. Well Snapper has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
