Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Comanche Todd (ranked 2317 p4p, 337 weight class) and Mike Diaz (ranked 1485 p4p, 219 weight class). Diaz has chosen Not Afraid - Eminem as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 43 - 40 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Comanche Todd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Todd misses with a jab, cross combination.
Diaz unleashes a big counter combination but Todd bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Diaz stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.


It looks like Comanche Todd has been cut.
Diaz uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Todd.
Todd swings for the body but Diaz moves out of range.
Diaz looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Diaz pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Todd back to the cage. Diaz follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Todd is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Diaz pulls his head out easily.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Diaz working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

Diaz has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Todd finds it's way round the side to connect with Diaz's head.
Todd lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Diaz circles away quickly and effectively.
Diaz fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Todd.

Mike Diaz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Diaz throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Todd on the side of the head.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

A punch lands to the side of Todd 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Diaz drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Todd right on the button. Todd goes down! Diaz follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Diaz gets the win via TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:08 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mike Diaz!
In his post fight interview, Mike Diaz started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
