Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Adan Mcknight! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mike Golden! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paulsen Ambrosius and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Golden closes the distance and clinches. Mcknight could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Mcknight working hard to break the clinch. Golden has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Mcknight clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Golden throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Mcknight!
Mcknight wants to escape the position.
Mcknight covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Golden really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Mcknight. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Let's hope that Golden has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Mcknight wants to escape the position.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Golden's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Golden.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Golden controlling the positon. Mcknight just trying to survive but Golden is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Golden loading up with punches from the back mount - how long can Mcknight hold on?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Golden has Mcknight flattened out and is raining down punches. Golden throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Mcknight!
Golden trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Mcknight doesn't escape. Golden lands shots to the head and Mcknight turtles up! The ref has seen enough and stops the fight! This one is over!
