Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Greg Bell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Lenny Manelito!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manelito bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Bell's head.
Manelito throws a head kick but Bell moves out of range.
Bell fails with the takedown
and Manelito counters with a lovely straight right hand!
The crowd cheers as Manelito lands an impressive looking overhand right. Bell doesn't seem phased though.
Bell scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Manelito takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Manelito is rocked!
Bell is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Manelito looks calm but he's in trouble here. Bell gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Manelito is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Bell lets go of the hold and Manelito can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Greg Bell!
Greg Bell gave a mention to IniTech Nutrition in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
