Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jay Bittner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bubbi Morthens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bittner's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, "Ecstacy of Gold" by Ennio Morricone. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jay Bittner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bubbi Morthens! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, John Kavanagh and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bittner throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Morthens dodges the punch combination from Bittner.
Morthens avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Bittner connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. A punch combination from Bittner misses. Bittner throws a hook to the side of Morthens's head but Morthens sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Bittner swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Morthens shoots in but Bittner avoids the takedown attempt easily. Bittner swings for the body but Morthens moves out of range.
Bittner tries to bum rush Morthens with a series of wild strikes but Morthens uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Morthens uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bittner. Morthens walks into a left hand. Bittner throws a body punch but Morthens moves out of range. Bittner throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morthens keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Bittner. Morthens showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Bittner.

Bittner is breathing heavily. Bittner misses with a wild combination.
Morthens shoots in and drives through. Bittner sprawls well. Morthens shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Morthens was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Bittner defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Morthens. Morthens is going olschool here, as he tries to force Bittner to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Bittner shrugs it off.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Morthens controlling the position easily from mount. Bittner really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Morthens can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bittner is looking to escape. Bittner knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Morthens on the ground. Bittner defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Morthens.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Morthens looking to control but Bittner is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Bittner can't escape the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Morthens trying to control but he's not successful this time. Bittner keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Bittner wants to control but Morthens is having none of it. Morthens tries to control but Bittner wriggling away. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Morthens looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Bubbi Morthens will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Morthens looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Bittner displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Bittner throws a series of punches but Morthens avoids them all with ease. Morthens fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Morthens tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bittner swivels and escapes. Jay Bittner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bubbi Morthens. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morthens shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bittner as he avoids it easily. Bittner throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Nice takedown defense from Bittner. No joy for Morthens on that attempt. Morthens drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Morthens wants to pass the guard but Bittner is keeping the position. Morthens preventing the sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Morthens seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Morthens trying to control but Bittner is working from the bottom. Bittner is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bittner is adopting a defensive guard.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Bittner throws a right hand that Morthens ducks under and follows up with a left that Morthens also avoids with ease. Morthens shoots in and drives through. Bittner sprawls well. Morthens moves out of range as Bittner throws a body kick.
A left and a right from Bittner both land. Nice combination. Bittner does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Bittner lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Morthens circles away quickly and effectively. Morthens scores a takedown into full mount! Bittner on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bittner tries to get out of the position. Morthens looking to control but Bittner is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Bittner is working to get back to half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Morthens jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Bittner is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Bittner and Morthens has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Jay Bittner will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Jab from Bittner. Bittner tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Bittner pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Morthens will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Bittner throws a series of punches but Morthens avoids them all with ease. Bittner throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bittner misses with a few strikes there.
Bittner throws a nice looking combination but Morthens bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Morthens closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Morthens not doing much here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morthens wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bittner keeps working. Morthens is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Morthens is pressing down on Bittner's thigh, looking to free his foot. Bittner is holding on for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Morthens is trying to control the action in half guard but Bittner is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Morthens is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Morthens is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Morthens tries to control but Bittner wriggling away. Morthens wants to finish this one by submission but Bittner is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Morthens.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Morthens goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Bittner turns into him and now he's in Morthens's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Morthens has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Bittner is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Morthens.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Morthens wants to control but Bittner postures up. Morthens is trying to get back to half guard. Morthens is trying to control Bittner's posture but Bittner avoids it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Morthens tries to buck Bittner off but Bittner is having none of it.
And that's the end of the fight! Bubbi Morthens comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Morthens has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
