Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Timur Saloedko (ranked 5647 p4p, 203 weight class) and Norris Norton (ranked 9926 p4p, 301 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Timur Saloedko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Norris Norton! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Colin Fray and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Norton falls off balance throwing a combination
and Saloedko moves into the clinch. Saloedko stalls. Norton swings wildly with an uppercut but Saloedko uses good head movement to avoid it. Norton is trying to break the clinch but Saloedko has him pressed against the ropes. Norton is pressed up against the ropes. Saloedko has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Norton down to the mat. Norton avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Norton should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Saloedko shoots in and drives through. Norton sprawls well. Saloedko uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Norton. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Saloedko moves into the clinch. Saloedko wants to take the fight to the mat but Norton manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Timur Saloedko. That's going to take a lot out of him. Saloedko stalls. Saloedko gets control of Norton's arms and successfully pulls guard. Saloedko will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Saloedko is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Saloedko is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Norton is looking to pass into half guard but Saloedko pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Saloedko is in guard. Saloedko is looking to work some ground and pound but Norton has wrist control. Norton looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Norton has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Saloedko can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Saloedko slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Saloedko stands up from guard. Let's bang! Norton throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Sloppy strikes from Norton. Those never looked like landing. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Saloedko is defended easily by Norton. Norton sizes up Saloedko with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Norton throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Saloedko. Norton misses with a two punch combination.

Saloedko is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Norton is defending well for now. Saloedko tries to pull guard but Norton forces him back to his feet, against the ropes. Norton tries to break the clinch but Saloedko is controlling the position. Timur Saloedko is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Norton tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Saloedko manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Saloedko will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Saloedko shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Norton pinned against the ropes. Norton gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Saloedko fails to land the takedown. Norton is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Timur Saloedko. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Saloedko closes the distance and clinches up with Norton, looking for a takedown. Saloedko pushes Norton against the ropes but Norton circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Norton throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Saloedko. Saloedko tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Norton manages to circle out of the way. Saloedko has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Norton is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Saloedko breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Norton tries to close the distance and clinch but Saloedko swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. The fight moves into the clinch position. Saloedko breaks from the clinch.
Norris Norton is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Saloedko tries to score a power double leg takedown but Norton sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Saloedko somewhat. Norris Norton seems to be getting the better of the standup. Saloedko uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Norton. Norton wants to clinch. Sloppy strikes from Norton. Those never looked like landing. Norton shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Saloedko eats them both and turns towards Norton to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
It looks like Timur Saloedko has been cut. Saloedko throws a head kick that misses. Saloedko tries to land a leg kick but Norton saw it coming and moves away.
Norton lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Norris Norton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Saloedko drives through and clinches with Norton against the ropes.
Saloedko is looking to take this one to the mat. Norton is trying to break the clinch but Saloedko is controlling him. Norton wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Saloedko decides to pull guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Norton trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Saloedko controlling the position. Saloedko can't keep his opponent in guard - Norton advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Norton is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Saloedko wants to get back to his feet but Norton is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Norton trying to control but Saloedko is working from the bottom. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Saloedko looking for a guillotine here but Norton defends easily.

Saloedko tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Norton manages to circle out of the way. Norton lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Saloedko circles away quickly and effectively. Norton just misses with a punch to the body.
Norton is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Saloedko. Saloedko misses with a wild body shot. Saloedko closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes. Saloedko has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Norton uses from the top position. Norton trying to control but Saloedko is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Saloedko looking to hit a scissor sweep but Norton is one step ahead there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Saloedko has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Norton is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Saloedko. Norton wants to lay and pray for a moment but Saloedko keeps working. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Norton is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Saloedko knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Norton trying to control the action but Saloedko is working from the bottom. You can see the frustration on Saloedko's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Saloedko is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the ropes but Norton has just dragged him back down to the mat. Norton is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Saloedko knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Saloedko tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Norton wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Saloedko is trying to work for a sweep but Norton has mounted him! Norton working for a guillotine from mount but Saloedko is in no mood to give up. Saloedko tries to lock up and control but Norton gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Norton forces the positional change into back control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Saloedko is trying to break free.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Saloedko tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Timur Saloedko overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Saloedko is looking to get to half guard. Norton takes Saloedko's back. Saloedko preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Norton. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Saloedko trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
And that's the end of the fight! Norris Norton comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Norton has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
