And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Don Davy Jones!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Albert Achterberg and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khan throws a body shot but no joy.
Davy Jones appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Khan lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
It looks like Don Davy Jones has been cut.
Davy Jones jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Khan gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Davy Jones.
Davy Jones throws a body punch but Khan moves out of range.
Khan takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Khan takes a jab right on the kisser.
Davy Jones throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Khan throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Davy Jones is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Khan with a body shot.

Davy Jones lands a left and a right that send Khan crashing to the mat, dazed. Davy Jones thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Khan is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Davy Jones swings away with a body shot that misses
and Khan counters with a nice uppercut.
Oh Khan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Khan throws a shot to the body.
Davy Jones just misses with a punch to the body.
Khan seems to have got his legs back now.
Khan scores with a jab to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Khan has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Khan there as he acknowledges the shot.
Davy Jones misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Khan.
Khan is looking to clinch.

and Khan counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Davy Jones throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Khan sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Khan getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Davy Jones is rocked!
Khan works Davy Jones's body with a nice hook.
Davy Jones swings widly with a right hand
and Khan counters with a huge left! Davy Jones is in big trouble! He's backing up but Khan isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Davy Jones from any more damage. A dominating finish by Khan!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Achmed Khan!

Achmed Khan very nearly forgot to thank Tauromorphous Threads ~ 15% Laundry amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
