Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Wm Chaney!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Josh Parker!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Micheangelo Fripello and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parker has his takedown stuffed
and Chaney counters with an outside leg kick.

Parker moves into the clinch successfully.
Parker tries to pull guard but Chaney won't allow it.

Parker breaks from the clinch.
Parker throws a leg kick but Chaney checks it.

Parker looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Chaney!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chaney is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Parker asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Parker decides to stand back up. Parker steps back and let's Chaney get back to his feet.
Chaney could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Parker pulls Chaney in close to his closed guard and prevents Chaney from doing any damage or advancing position.
Parker wants to stand and escape but Chaney is having none of it.

Parker feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Parker got a little sloppy there for a moment and Chaney has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Parker has managed to get both his arms back between Chaney's legs - danger averted.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Parker darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Chaney has one foot on Parker's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Parker gets a double leg takedown into Chaney's guard.

Chaney is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Parker presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Parker breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Chaney shoots in but Parker avoids the takedown attempt easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Josh Parker will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Parker attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Josh Parker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Parker lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Chaney circles away quickly and effectively.

Parker is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Chaney gets to his feet - Parker follows without any prompting.

Parker drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Parker dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Chaney. That did some damage!
Chaney throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Parker clinches up with Chaney and pushes him back against the cage.

Chaney breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Parker shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Chaney pinned against the cage. Chaney gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Parker tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Parker is breathing heavily.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Parker wants to lay and pray for a moment but Chaney keeps working.
Parker tries to move into full mount but can't pass Chaney's legs.
Parker sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Chaney is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Parker stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Parker fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Chaney, pushing him back against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Josh Parker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Parker shoots in and drives through. Chaney sprawls well.
Chaney went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Parker tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Chaney smiles and moves away.
Parker throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

and Chaney counters with a left to the body.
Parker swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
It appears Chaney was looking to counter with a kick there.

Parker shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Parker takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Parker gets a clinch.
Parker taking a breather.
Parker is trying to break the clinch but Chaney is controlling him.
Parker wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Chaney jumps guard and drags Parker to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Wm Chaney overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Chaney wants to get back to his feet but Parker passes into half guard.
Parker sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Chaney defending well though.

Parker is looking to take a break and control but Chaney is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Parker escapes and gets back to his feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

and Chaney counters with a nice body shot.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Wm Chaney.
I think Parker has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
