The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Da Souza looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Ledfoot throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Da Souza throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ledfoot works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Ledfoot will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Da Souza keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Ledfoot's head.
Ledfoot has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ledfoot escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Da Souza gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Ledfoot has his foot on Da Souza's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Da Souza works his way back into a safe position though.

Da Souza throws a sloppy strike and Ledfoot has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Da Souza is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Ledfoot!
