Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Doug Butabi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ignatius Thistlewhite!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Dirk Anderson and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thistlewhite looking to score a takedown here. Butabi is defending well but Thistlewhite drives through and ends up in Butabi's guard.
Butabi definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Thistlewhite thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Thistlewhite is in close to Butabi's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Butabi has momentary wrist control but Thistlewhite slips an elbow through the middle.
Thistlewhite drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Thistlewhite as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Butabi screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Thistlewhite! Nice submission victory there!
