And in the blue corner, fighting out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 4 losses; Professor Dickweed! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Yves DeLean and Alec Ball.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Gracie closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Gracie manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Gracie keeping full guard, as Dickweed tries to pass. Gracie throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

We've been hearing good reports from Gracie's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Gracie managing to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dickweed pulls Gracie in close to prevent any damage. Dickweed is continuing to stall. Gracie trying to control but Dickweed is working from the bottom. Gracie will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Gracie stands and throws Dickweed's legs to the side, diving into side control. Dickweed is looking for a kimura but Gracie is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Dickweed to get the leverage. Gracie is trying to control but can't.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dickweed wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving. Dickweed passes Gracie's left leg - he's now in half guard. My spies in Hey Steves Fight Shack inform me that Dickweed has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Gracie looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Dickweed is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
