Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mark Bahaghari (ranked 4731 p4p, 565 weight class) and Stu Pidaso (ranked 4900 p4p, 575 weight class). Bahaghari comes to the cage accompanied by Broken . Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mark Bahaghari!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Stu Pidaso !
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pidaso misses with an attempted mid kick.
Pidaso throws a predictable looking body shot
and Pidaso takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.


It looks like Stu Pidaso has been cut.
Bahaghari with a jab.
Bahaghari shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Pidaso defends it nicely.
Bahaghari takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Bahaghari doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Pidaso counters with a nice kick to the body.
Bahaghari swings away with a leg kick that misses.
A slapping body kick lands there for Pidaso .
Pidaso lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Bahaghari avoids a kick to the body.

Bahaghari gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Bahaghari breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Bahaghari shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Bahaghari was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
You can see the frustration on Pidaso 's face as Bahaghari controls the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pidaso is trying to control Bahaghari's posture but Bahaghari avoids it.
Bahaghari throws a strike aimed at the side of Pidaso 's head but Pidaso avoids it well.
Pidaso regains half guard there - taking advantage of Bahaghari's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

Pidaso has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

Bahaghari is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Pidaso doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bahaghari.

Bahaghari looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bahaghari trying to pass the guard but Pidaso defending well.
Pidaso blocking the ground and pound attempt from Bahaghari.

Bahaghari decides to return to a standing position.
Stu Pidaso seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bahaghari throws a head kick that misses.
Pidaso thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Bahaghari if he has to take too many more of those.
Bahaghari swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Pidaso .
Pidaso tries to land a front kick but Bahaghari steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Bahaghari seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Oooooh!!! Bahaghari has knocked Pidaso down with a huge combo! Bahaghari steps away and waves a wobbly Pidaso back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


Pidaso is rocked!

Bahaghari clinches up with Pidaso and pushes him back against the cage.
Pidaso is still on wobbly legs! Can Bahaghari finish him?

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Bahaghari breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Nice body kick there by Pidaso .
Bahaghari wobbles Pidaso with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Bahaghari dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Pidaso to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Mark Bahaghari!
A very excited looking Mark Bahaghari made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
