Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ahmadaliev swats away the attempt to clinch by Dio.
Dio jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Dio moves into the clinch successfully.
Dio pushes Ahmadaliev back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
It looks like Magomed Ahmadaliev has been cut.
Dio wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Dio lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Ahmadaliev or not.

Ahmadaliev is pushing Dio up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Ahmadaliev for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.

Dio tries to throw a body punch but Ahmadaliev avoids it by throwing Dio back against the cage.

Dio drops down looking for an ankle pick but Ahmadaliev pulls his leg out and moves away.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dio has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Ahmadaliev avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Dio shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ahmadaliev as he avoids it easily.
Dio fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ahmadaliev looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Ahmadaliev rushes Dio and presses him up against the cage.

Dio is looking to take a break and control but Ahmadaliev is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Well, with Dio on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Ahmadaliev is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
Ahmadaliev is trying to get back to his feet but Dio has full control of the position and if anything, Ahmadaliev has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Dio.

Dio has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Dio is raining down hard shots and and Ahmadaliev has had enough - he's tapped out due to the strikes!
