The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Daniel Bishop and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGeady scores with a jab. Brandao acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
It looks like Luiz Brandao has been cut.
Brandao shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with McGeady but McGeady pushes him off and we're back to square one.
McGeady misses with a wild combination.
McGeady doesn't manage to clinch there - Brandao circles away.
Brandao closes this distance looking for a takedown but McGeady circles away.
Brandao shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has McGeady pinned against the cage. McGeady gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Brandao throwing strikes here but McGeady is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
McGeady is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Brandao wants to control the pace but McGeady is squirming around nicely.
Brandao goes for an armbar but McGeady turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from McGeady.

McGeady tries to stand but Brandao is controlling from the bottom.
McGeady stands up and waves to Brandao to follow him.
McGeady throws a head kick that misses.
McGeady looks to land a combination but Brandao avoids it well.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
McGeady throws a series of punches but Brandao moves out of range.
The fight stays on the outside here - McGeady looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Brandao slips a jab and a cross from McGeady.

and Brandao counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Brandao seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but McGeady does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
McGeady is not content to let Brandao control the position.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Brandao shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in McGeady's guard.
McGeady avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
McGeady wants to stand up but Brandao is controlling him.
Brandao drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but McGeady manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Brandao has McGeady in his guard.

Brandao looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but McGeady is defending well. Brandao quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! McGeady has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Brandao celebrates on the ropes, with the crowd.
