Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dan McAdams (ranked 2825 p4p, 263 weight class) and Chad Richards (ranked 1675 p4p, 175 weight class). Chad Richards struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.2lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Chad Richards will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richards throws a combination. McAdams tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
McAdams looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
McAdams takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
McAdams misses with a wild body shot.
McAdams looks to score with a jab to the body but Richards is just out of range.
A big right from McAdams misses.

McAdams throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Richards was covering up waiting for the punch and McAdams finishes the takedown easily into guard.
McAdams looking to sit in guard and control but Richards gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

McAdams looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Richards has picked McAdams up and slammed him! McAdams can't keep hold of the triangle and Richards manages to pass to side control!
You can see the frustration on McAdams's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

McAdams has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Richards. Oh but McAdams has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Richards goes limp - he's gone! McAdams jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
