Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Pina Colada Hoi (ranked 8574 p4p, 0 weight class) and Butch Harris Jr (ranked 2867 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Hoi fails with an attempt to clinch.
Harris Jr wants to clinch. Harris Jr slaps away a takedown attempt from Hoi, before circling back to the center of the mat. Hoi tries to keep at a distance but Harris Jr has taken the fight into the clinch. Hoi drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Harris Jr gets the underhooks and prevents it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hoi tightens his grip and picks Harris Jr up, before dumping him to the ground. Harris Jr manages to land in guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Hoi (2) vs (0) Harris Jr Hoi not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hoi tries to free his leg and advance position but Harris Jr is retaining full guard. Hoi slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Hoi has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Hoi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Harris Jr swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hoi preventing the sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Harris Jr is trying to control the position but Hoi postures up. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Hoi being controlled here momentarily. Hoi trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Harris Jr manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Hoi (2) vs (2) Harris Jr Hoi is pulling down on Harris Jr's head. It's preventing any offense from Harris Jr, at least for the moment. Harris Jr trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hoi has Harris Jr pulled in close to control his posture. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hoi is on top in guard.

That's five minutes gone in the round. Hoi's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Further stalling from Hoi. Hoi seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Harris Jr for as long as he can get away with. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Hoi prevents Harris Jr from getting the reversal. Hoi sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. This is a sustained period of stalling by Hoi. Harris Jr tries to lock up and control but Hoi gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. Hoi tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Hoi is stinking the place up with his stalling.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Harris Jr is trying desperately to improve position. Hoi content just to control the position here. Hoi will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's ten minutes gone in the round. Hoi prevents Harris Jr from getting the reversal.
That's eleven minutes gone in the round. Hoi sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Harris Jr tries to hold on but Hoi postures up. Hoi controlling from the full mount.
That's twelve minutes gone in the round. Hoi working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Harris Jr turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Hoi off and cradles Harris Jr's limp body as Hoi celebrates with his corner.
