Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Jimmy Quick (ranked 21440 p4p, 0 weight class) and Philo Brathwaite (ranked 7426 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 5 wins and 3 losses; Jimmy Quick! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 2 losses; Philo Brathwaite!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Brathwaite drives through and clinches with Quick against the cage.
Brathwaite gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Quick regains guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brathwaite is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Brathwaite trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Brathwaite must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Quick working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Brathwaite doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Brathwaite manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Quick controls Brathwaite momentarily but Brathwaite frees himself.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Quick can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Brathwaite controls the pace.

Brathwaite told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Brathwaite passes Quick's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Brathwaite is thwarting Quick's attempts to control the position.
Brathwaite is taking a breather. Quick says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Brathwaite's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Quick is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Brathwaite is tapping! Great win for Quick!
