Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Harlan Patterson (ranked 25483 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Lindell (ranked 8065 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Harlan Patterson has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Harlan Patterson seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Patterson clinches up with Lindell and pushes him back against the cage.
Lindell looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
A frustrated look appears on Lindell's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Patterson drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Patterson has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Lindell avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Lindell escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Lindell is looking to stand back up but Patterson counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Lindell.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Patterson has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Lindell defend it? Patterson steps over the head and cranks it - Lindell is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Patterson!
